Canaan Bound Homecoming Concert Featuring the McKameys

McKameys

Ticketed Event
Canaan enjoyed sharing the stage with the McKameys on November the 15th at the Municipal  Auditorium in Neosho, MO.  The group was proud to bring the McKameys back to their home town after 20 years gap in performing at this historic location.  Canaan Bound would like to thank Clark Funeral Home and Mid-American Properties for their help and supoort.  Both of our sponsors were proud to help us bring the first Southern Gospel Concert to the newly renovated Municipal Auditorium now known as the Civic.

The Municipal Auditorium was recently renovated to a state of the art performance venue and the groups had a ball performing in the new facility.  With big plans for the city and future concerts, we were pleased to bring Southern Gospel music back to the auditorium and continue the long standing tradition of  Southern Gospel music at this venue.

Through the years, the group has been privileged to perform at the auditorium on numerous occasions and were happy to come home after all these years and promote this successful event.  Thanks to all who purchased tickets and attended for making this a sold out event and the talk of the town.

Canaann Bound & Friends Concerts

Free Gospel Concert SeriesFairview
Canaan Bound stepped out in faith about two years ago and began a free concert the first Friday night of every month at 6:30.  When we first started Precious Moments agreed to house the event.  Through the past couple of years we went from building to building at Precious Moments as the singing grew.  We weathered ice storms and hot weather but the singing continued to grow.

In June of 2006 we out grew our location at Precious Moments.  People started arriving as early as 5:00 to get a seat and we had to start turning people away.  While we were trying to negotiate other locations for the  concert people just kept coming.  In July we turned about twenty-five people away, and then sixty-five in August.  We decided that if we didn't move soon to accommodate the growth people would stop coming, but God had a plan.

When we polled the audience we found that the best location for them was Carthage, MO.  Little did we know that in the lobby of the Good Ole Times theater at Precious Moments God was working.  Through a  curious string of events God made provisions for us to end up at Fairview Christian Church in Carthage.    Canaan Bound had been well received both in Carthage and Fairview with many of Fairview's members now attending.  God continues to move in the lives of those attending and the crowd continues to grow.

Canaan Bound & Friends is pleased to call Carthage, MO and Fairview Christian Church our new home!

Canaan Bound Christmas Party

A Meet and Greet Dinner Concert
Come Join us at Fairview Christian Church in Carthage, Missouri the first Saturday in December at 6:30.  Bring a covered dish or dessert and we'll provide the meat and drinks.

The Canaan Bound Christmas party has been a time honored tradition from the very beginning.  The year that Canaan Bound formed we thought it would be nice to thank all those that sat in the audience and provided opportunities for us to sing.  We wouldn't have a ministry if people didn't take the time to listen.

Also, we've always looked for ways that Christian's could reach out to  marginal or non-Christians.  Our goal is to encourage Christians to step up and reach out to those around them.  We find that many hurting and lost folks will come to a singing or our Christmas party in a non-threatening environment when they wouldn't come to a church.  For this reason the Canaan Bound Christmas party had become very special to us.

The Christmas Party is not only  our way to say thanks to all of you who continue to be part of this ministry, but also a good time of fun, food, and fellowship.  We hope that you will invite friends and family so they can enjoy it as well.  It will provide an opportunity for us, or even you, to reach out to them and talk about our faith.
