Mission
Canaan Bound's mission is to share the gospel in song and provide a high quality ministry experience for even the smallest of churches and community groups. Canaan Bound has performed in venues from small country churches to crowds of over 6,000 and our mission has always been to reach the lost and encourage other Christians to do the same. We hope that Christians will realize that God asks only for us to be willing vessels in His kingdom ministry, as we lift Him up he will draw all men unto Himself. Our challenge to the lost is to accept Christ and start down the exciting road of being a Christian. Our challenge to the the Christian is to step up and dare to be salt and light to the dying and lost world all around us.

Canaan Bound Shares the Gospel in Song while traveling the country singing their original Southern Gospel music. The lively songs and melodies are written by Gary Crawford, founder, and he has been an essential part of keeping the group together through the 25 years of ministry. Gary started writing in 1982 and God has inspired a hundred plus songs since that time. Through the years the group has seen many members come and go, but Gary was responsible in keeping the ministry together and growing.
Currently Canaan Bound consists of fours singers and their wonderful families as well as many members behind the scenes that work hard to keep a growing ministry together. Keith sings bass and Jon is our baritone. Gary sings lead and writes all of the material for the group. Gary's son, Justin, carries on the tradition singing high tenor and acts as the group's spokesperson. Canaan Bound is more than a singing group, it is a family. The members and their families get together on a regular basis and enjoy playing and fellowshipping outside of the ministry dates.
